Will someone make this goddamned rain stop. I think I cursed us because when it was a blizzard I longed for any other weather....even rain. And now it's back to the Vancouver I know and hate.
I dreamt the Canucks lost last night.
I'm not used to sleeping so soundly and all night like that, so I guess I had ample time to dream. A lot of little "segments", but that was one I remembered. When my Sports Action guys ask for my input today I'll have to give them my little heads up premonition...they actually do ask, which baffles me. Can't quite figure that one out but they tip well so I'd better keep them happy. I think I was reliving our last game though. How pathetic am I to dream about it?
The Pickton trial here is in full swing.
The ex lives right on the border of the pig farm where he slaughtered all those women in PoCo. Listening to his admission that he was "just gonna' kill one more to make it an even fifty" kinda' gives ya chills.
Well I'm off to work. I'm doing the morning so I get over to see Mom sooner....Dad tells me she's basically non responsive. It's o.k., I'm coping. I have to.
Now behave while I'm gone children - no swinging off the chandeliers, k?

no problem...believe me, this is a distraction from my worries.
when you email t again, please let her know it's not the end of the world and just get another one going...that we're waiting for her.
Or tell her to pop by our blogs and interact, it'll keep her connected anyhow.
I can't believe my beloved Wings are developing, or I should say dissolving into the "Dead Wings" that I remember from my youth.
I worked at the flagship radio station for the Wings for a couple of years, did a lot of games and some reporting from the locker room, you would be jealous.
I think the crazy killing guy shows a lot of moxy, trying to end his killing on a even number and all...J/K...
I hate most other teams (mostly Flames/Avs actually) but I don't mind the Wings because I love Stevie Y. So sad he's done. So yes, I am so jealous right now i think I'm gonna cry. I did get into the BC Lions locker room and snooped around a lot. Even into the coach's office (heehee, sneaky bitch). They weren't there of course.
Yeah, guess 50's his lucky # or something. 49 was obviously his unlucky one.

and I shouldn't really say I "hate" the other teams. I hate Toronto and the Av's and Jerome Iginla. The rest are good with me. I'm talking to myself again. Can you tell?
Im sick of it too Deb. Remember that part in Forest Gump where he talks about all the different kinds of rain in Vietnam? Thats what it's like here. I swear the drops weren't so much falling this evening, as just swirling around in the air, going up my nose, and making my hair all frizzy. At least we won't get dry skin huh.

Ug, Pickton is such a freak. I am sick of seeing his horrible face all over our daily papers!! I agree that everyone should know exactly what he did, and remember the women who were killed, but I just want not see his face anymore...you know?
Mel you nailed it. The swirlin around and up the nose thing I could totally relate to and I choked on my drink laughing.
I'm taking a bit of a hiatus from TV at the moment, meaning I'm avoiding all news. I've started reading the local papers again but get so frustrated that I may have to just start chucking them out. They're closing all the damn ER beds but we've got a million dollar telefuckingthon going for the trees that blew down. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the environment and have even lobbied at council to save green space/agricultural land, but when people are dying in hallways and homeless people live under tarps I say fuck the trees and save the people.
Oh, I was going to post about that. Guess I just did.

You hate my beloved Maple Leafs? No! Well, I knew we were football rivals but now I find out we're also hockey rivals! Well, kind of rivals. I also cheer for Vancouver. If push came to shove though I don't know where my loyalties would lie. So far it hasn't really been an issue.
oh dear, I forgot about our rivalry toccata! Hate's pretty strong. Yes, I hate the Leafs. And I don't know why/when it happened. I grew up with the Leafs as "my team" (until the Canucks of course). One of my best friend's is from TO and we have fun with it....I've told her if she doesn't convert to a Canucks fan within the next two years we're booting her out.
All in good fun...Toronto people are the best. But the hockey team........
(I do love Bryan McCabe though. And Pat Quinn, even though he's gone. I met him once by butting in line in front of him somewhere and he called me out on it. )
