Bragging Rights

From Canucks.com:

Measuring stick, litmus test, barometer – call it whatever you want. The Canucks tested themselves against the NHL's top team in the Detroit Red Wings Saturday night and passed with the kind of marks that put nerds to shame.

They scored 80 percent of the goals and cruised to a very satisfying 4-1 victory.

"They came in here with the best record of the NHL, so it was a good statement game for us that we can match up against any one in this league," said Roberto Luongo.

Louie saved his way to another first star performance, making 32 stops and finishing with a .970 save percentage. He showed the Red Wings so much leather they thought he worked at Aldo.

The 43rd win of the season for the Canucks keeps them just above Minnesota in the standings, who is nipping at their heels. Minny beat Calgary tonight, and trails Vancouver by one point.

Final score....Canucks 4 / Detroit 1

Have a great day friends. Out for the day (more hockey).
