I think I just ate dogfood for dinner. Noone's home and I felt like crap so, instead of cooking, I grabbed a handy dandy frozen entree for myself. Bad mistake. Not a good time to experiment. I LLLOVE Stouffer's - I've yet to come across a bad Lean Cuisine. Some of them even border on really good. But I veered off course and went for the bargain basement brand and, all I can say is that you shouldn't eat this or feed it to anyone unless they are wagging their tail and are named Spot or Rover. I shouldn't have cheated, especially at this point in the game. But the package did say it was a source of Iron!!??

They also said there were meatballs in it...I think they were actually drywall. And the sauce smelled like Alpo. I'm going to watch the end of ANTM and feel even sorrier for myself. I don't even like meatballs...what the hell was I thinking?

Some of the Michelina's are okay. But, you're right. Generally, you get what you pay for.

Mel...that sounds so much better.

tc...glad I could be of some service!

w/n...this particular one must've been old/freezer burnt (which wouldn't surprise me...the major grocery chain I shop at has really old freezers that leak/don't work properly).

I once bought some exxtra value tinned hotdogs for 6p a tin from a very cheap local supermarket... got invited to a rather swish "bring something for the buffet" party. All manner of bourgeois offerings appeared... I mischieviously ladelled some of my killer sausages on a plate besides something French and tasty ... honestly the looks on people's faces as they chomped in!!!

(These things tasted like catfood, even had rodent-sized bone particles left in them ...)

I think this was the same party I managed to drop cigarette ash all over the cheese board ...

well there was a really long queue and I didn't notice my three-inch fagash was about to wilt all over the Gruyere ...
