Awesome Part II (Scroll Down For Part I)

While I was with mom today, Linds snuck up to the store and bought me these gorgeous creatures. She and Ty pooled their money (and that's huge...they don't have much) and she put together this beautiful bouquet. I truly am lucky. Lovely flowers, wonderful kids, well wishes from friends and my family to help me feel old (thanks Dave, for rubbing in EACH and EVERY year that you're younger).

My kids are very selfless, caring, thoughtful individuals. Thanks Ty and Linds....love you and appreciate you more than you'll ever really know. You make me proud.

What wonderful caring kids you have! With their own money and nobody bribed them? You are blessed and I hope you had a wonderful birthday and spoiled yourself to the max.

I know guys....and, considering they have about 30 bucks each to their names right now (Ty got laid off), I was very impressed with the fact that they'd part with their last pennies for me.

They do make me feel better...they're sitting RIGHT beside me at my computer here Allison.

I'm spoiling myself over a number of days Barbara. I just got a call from my aunt that some cousins are in town (from Calgary even) and a bunch of the family is meeting over at River Rock (casino) on Saturday night for dinner/fun. The cousins have a room there, so we'll probably dabble with some penny slots until our $3.00 runs out, then head up to the room for some catching up. I'm FINALLY going to get my hair done tomorrow (some inspiration from, *ahem, YOU....thanks). And I think I'll splurge and buy something new to wear. For me, that's about 10 years worth of spoiling myself to the max....it's long overdue.

I'm going to surprise Mom and make a hair appointment for her as well for Saturday morning and take her along for some fun.....she knows nothing. She'll be sssoo surprised/thrilled - first, because she hasn't been out in weeks / second - because she hasn't seen some of these family members in awhile and she'll be shocked that they're there. I feel really good about that - she deserves it. I'm polishing up the ol' wheelchair for her now!

I'll keep you posted - lots of pics to come.
