and i'm still awake...it's weird tonight. Across the street i'm watching the skunk/two rabbits show. seriously, they're out front of the apartments there in a large, grassy area and they are frantically running all over the place. well the skunk's kind of "slinking". i wonder if "the big one" really is coming???....animals act up before hand. (i hate the news)

Are you in a fault area?

Yeah, unfortunately we're right on the Cascadia faultline (which runs from Alaska to Oregon).

I'd watch the animals for warnings too. Actually there is a pretty good sized one running thru part of Illinois and Missouri. I don't think about it. I think the west coast would be a problem first.

yeah, the animals are my early warning system. Before the last quake here my dog was acting up...also, I had a premonition the night before - a very strong one. It was weird. I felt the suddent urge to frantically put together an earthquake kit and my kids were telling me to relax, "what's the panic?". And the next morning we were hit. True story.

Right before the big Indian Ocean earthquake/tsunami, the elephants were freaking out and heading to higher ground. So now I take note of the animals and what they're doing.

I totally ignore the whole living in an earthquake zone. Texas is supposedly the only place that has never had an earthquake.

Busterp! "I think the west coast would be a problem first!" How to make Deb feel more secure!!
