I took Linds up to Pajo's for some greasy food dinner on the beach tonight. The plan (I thought) was that we were going for a nice walk afterward. Linds, however, wanted to dine and dash and guess who won? I'll give you one hint - it wasn't me.

Anyhow, these are sort of out of order. But, then again, so am I these days.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

On the drive up there, this duck was in the middle of the road and didn't seem to want to move. Even after we blasted the horn at him.

This little bird got to share Lindsay's waffle cone...he actually has a piece in his mouth. Then he flew up to the tree and wiped his beak on the branch...click on the pic to make it bigger (so cute).

You'll notice that on the wooden tray there are very clear instructions (on both the top and the side, so as not to miss them) - "PLEASE RETURN THIS TRAY IMMEDIATELY AFTER UNLOADING IT AT YOUR TABLE". "Oh, that means US?". Rebels.
Time to leave...no walk today I guess.
I saw this nice old car but missed the shot (again), as I fumbled to get my camera out.
Then we passed it as we drove down the street. GOTCHA! (almost).

I like it when you take us on your picture excursions. Kelly's right, Linds has that exasperated teenage look on her face!

I didn't post the others...she's SO tired of me taking pictures that she deliberately tries to sabotage them by opening her mouth with food in it, etc. Very pretty. I'll post those ones tomorrow.

(wv just called me a tit)

That greasy food looked pretty tempting actually! It doesn't count if you eat it outdoors anyway.

I can't look at ducks the same way anymore after reading about duck gang rape on Just A Cool Cat's blog and then hearing it confirmed on CBC.

I love them seabirds pixx. They're very atmospheric.

& thanxx for the support on my vid blog.

Only thing I posted up so far today = Carpenters "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft ..!"

& in a mo I'm changing the colour scheme. I was going to do yellow print on midnight blue or deep purple. Please tell what you think when you see it as it's open to amendment until something really superb is settled on ...

...(as if a blog colour scheme can ever be that "superb" in the grand scheme of things ..??)

I'll say it again ... those are VERY atmospheric fotos ...

BTW in answer to your question, my "why??!???!??!" was kind of rhetorical bc I kinda know the ansa:: Sinead shaved her hair as a protest statement against feminine oppression. Believe she got fed up of being sleazed over by men for being pretty, got the chop, liked the (v different) attention she got that way, and stuck with it off-&-on for many years that way ...

Is that your Linds chomping chips?

She's very pretty.

I notice you have the same herring gulls as we get here. I got into a silly heated debate with some Australians once about "huge" seagulls. They insisted gulls were tiny little birds like white pigeons. I said no they're not they're huge with 4ft or more wingspan ... long story short: they went to Scottish seaside returning raving You were right they are enormous not like our tiny gulls ... Why am I rambling about this? They are kind of my totem bird. The one that I would most like to be. (Of course it would have to be one of those lazy birds that just opens its wings and rides ... wheeling in the sky !!) We used to get them all over our school field. I love herring gulls.

BTW I changed my new blog background so please tell what you think of it. It's much darker. Gold on purple, like I said ...

Deb, you've been tagged. That food picture did it and now the world wants to know about your five favourite local restaurants.

kel - tomorrow for the pics. I'm usually at the "taking" end of the picture taking, so not many of me. But I'll photobooth one if I'm having a good hair day.

Barb...I love when food doesn't count. It was yummy...I love fish. Oh, I'm behind on my duck rape news...I'll brush up.

Alana...I had yogurt too. I put walnuts in mine. Don't cry, when I'm having a heart attack you'll be running a 10k.

gled...oh yeah, come to think of it I think I heard that about Sinead at some point. And glad you like the pics. And, yes, that is Linds....not her most flattering shot mind you - she was trying real hard to make unflattering faces.

thanks tk...our daughters are both grand and a handful at times, aren't they?

mel...we did have fun and this weather helps the moods too.

Al - I like that last one too. Linds laughed because she knows I always miss the "good" shots and I just happened to have my camera out/beside me on the front seat when I noticed that car coming toward us. I was so happy that I finally got one (kind of).

Barb...oh, I'm tagged? O.K....too tired tonight, but tomorrow I'm in.

Debs I've posted so much on that vid blog it's giving me word confirmations from the Czech dictionary just b4 I press "publish" ... at least they do get published though. It once did that before and got into a loop of basically rejecting me yet continuously telling me to try again.

Well I digress: Oasis I put 2 up so far. The one I'm looking for I cannot find "hello hello good 2b back good 2b back ..."
