Wide Mouth Mason - I Love Not Loving You

It's always kinda cool when you find out that a member of a band you like is in the extended family. I didn't know until I missed my cousin's wedding in Saskatchewan and, while looking at the pics, questioned how Shelley managed to get Wide Mouth Mason to play at the wedding. "Duh...she married the bass player's brother". Oh. Love them even more now that "Uncle Earl" is family.

"Where I Started" is my favorite album and is definitely worth giving a listen to. While this song's not my favorite, I'm going over to their website to give the new album a listen now. Will let you know what I think of it.

You are related to rock royalty, that makes you a princess or something, doesn't it? How cool.

That's hilarious Allison. I've always liked them too - I tend to jump on board quickly with Canadian talent and "Where I Started" was very much overplayed in this house when I got it.

I think it must make me one Barbara. I'm having the tiara made now. I may have to even go to a concert of theirs...I can see it now, I'll push backstage, stick out my hand for a handshake and go, "hi, I'm your brother's wife's mother's sister's daughter, cousin Deb".

Your backstage line will definitely get you in there! I have a student that would be green with envy. Her binder is completely collaged in Wide Mouth Mason pics and quotes!
