His new stuff sounds good. I confess, I haven't heard much of anything of Matt's since "Strange Days". Either I've been insanely out of the loop or he's not getting much love from radio or Much Music.
Al...yep, was there last year. A funny story - we pulled up to the VECC early last year and there are probably 8 parking spots there. A big flashy SUV was in front of us and pulled into the handicapped spot...I was pissed, as he didn't have a permit. I told the kids I was going to tell him off...it was a sore subject with me as Mom was handicapped and we'd been ousted out of spots by able bodied's before. I wheeled in my spot, ready to go confront this idiot. The kids talked me out of it, not wanting to cause a scene. It turned out to be Matt and there was a little sign in front saying "VIP" parking.
We met him after the show and had a good chuckle about it.
His acoustic shows are sure a different animal from his old rock shows. I like them both, but Jerry prefers the acoustics, I think because you sit down. I kinda miss the rock shows though.
I haven't been to one of his rock shows...Linds and I are really hoping he does another one so we can experience that as well...some songs just can't be done acoustically.

When and where is it?

tk....three shows in Ontario:
Sept. 30 - Thunder Bay Community Auditorium
Oct. 18 - Bronson Centre, Ottawa
Oct. 26 - Massey Hall, Toronto
You should try and go...really nice stuff on his new album.
lala...oh then you've missed some of his best stuff. Although I love the old Matthew Good Band, since he's been solo he's been unbelievable (I think).
Have you ever seen him before in concert, Deb?
You may have already said, but I can't remember.
He's awesome. You're gonna love it :)
